Parents and children who make it through school supply shopping without hurting someone or swearing should get a medal. For the record...we'd get that medal. But thank the good Lord we don't have to do that again for another year.
I'm not feeling well. John just read off a list of symptoms on WebMD and I answered yes to the entire list. The diagnosis...it's either asthma or black death.

I'm waiting for John at the movie theater. Right now a two year old is running away from four adults who are ready to leave. The adults are spread out across the lobby and the 2 year old is still winning. #beentheredonethat

This morning instead of pouring whole coffee beans into the grinder, I poured them directly into my mug. It took me 1 second to realize something was wrong but more than 5 seconds to figure out what it was. #lastnightinsomniawon

I just spent 20 minutes discussing which weapon is better to use when fending off a boa constrictor. Colin thought sword. I thought gun. Seth thought light saber. #motherofboys.

I just had a fifteen minute argument with my 6 year old son about the existence of leprechauns and I think there might be smoke coming out of my ears. Why do I do this to myself?

You know you're old when the Olympic announcers keep saying things like, "The fact he can still be out here competing at the age of 32 is just amazing!" and you're 4 years older. In all fairness though, I did have to get up and stretch after sitting on the couch watching swimming for too long.

The boys are having a sleepover at Aunt Kelly's house tonight. As we were loading her car with sleeping bags and pillows, Seth says, "Mommy you're going to be home all alone tonight in the peace and quiet...it's so sad."

I asked the girl working the concession stand at our neighborhood pool what flavor slushes they had. She answered, "red or blue". I paused so she could correct herself. She never did.
