Snowpocalypse Day One

We've survived day one of what the news has called a "two phase winter event".  We have over a foot of snow so far.  As was likely the case with most families with small children...the bundling up took twice as long as the actual time spent playing outside today.

Both boys were excited to get out there but for Colin, the reality was not quite as fun as he had imagined it would be.  He made several attempts but always ended up in tears and telling us "its just awful".

Seth worked hard today helping Daddy shovel driveways.  He was rewarded handsomely with some chocolate chip cookies baked by our neighbor.  Colin and Mommy stayed toasty warm inside and put ourselves in charge of the drying station.

School has already been cancelled for tomorrow.  I'm resting up for several more rounds of "but I really want to play in the snow and I promise I won't cry this time."
